Maree ReMalia
Participation: Summer Workshop series 2013 – Gaga Workshops with Maree ReMalia
Maree ReMalia is a dance artist based in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2012, she completed the first official Gaga Teacher Training program in Tel Aviv, Israel. She earned her MFA in dance through The Ohio State University and completed her BA at Prescott College in Education for Social Change and Cultural Studies. At Moving on Center School for Participatory Arts she trained in improvisational and somatic practices. ReMalia’s original choreography has been presented in Cleveland Public Theatre’s Big Box and DanceWorks Series, Movement Research at the Judson Church, PearlArts Studios Artists-in-Residence Series, 60×60, and the Williamsburg Free Fest. Previously, she performed with MorrisonDance and MegLouise Dance and Southern Ballet Theatre and the Richmond Ballet; recently, she danced in the work of Bebe Miller, Ohad Naharin, and Noa Zuk. Maree is also a practitioner of the Ilan Lev Method.
