Circumstances changes people -- for the Better.

Growths are developing basic qualities like intelligence personality and expand skill, effort, strategies and persistence — it makes them more challenging. They teaches how to love hard things, persist, and master them at any given point. They don't need to be puffed. It's a life in which you fulfill your potential, you will automatically experience moment of blessed silence in your head and it's not just being happy all the time, a life…

DEVELOP CLARITY ON WHAT YOU WANT

(By Juliette J Nibbs PhD)

Finding balance, fulfillment, prosperity and joy in your daily life really is possible, in fact, it is your birthright and destiny. You have the ability to be, have and become whatever you choose; limited only by the boundaries you set around yourself.

Your beliefs about yourself and your world are ultimately responsible for determining your…

The US has wound itself up into perfect storm of mental health stupidity, and we're seeing the results in events like the massacre in Connecticut this past week. Amidst the screaming about guns and personal responsibility, perhaps we'd be well served to consider a…

Inspiration struck this morning as a spring honeymoon in Paris was being planned. Mary set to work immediately on a costume that will eventually be a part of the Nuptials for the Dead show currently in planning. Mary has requested an Inventing Earth production workshop for costume design and development. Let us know if you'd be interested. Timing has not yet been set.…

In addition to my work for Inventing Earth, I also publish (and consult, and do public speaking) on topics related to human language, technology, and business globalization. Here is an article published today about India and the future of the internet:

Five months. It’s been a long five months. It feels like eternity. I know I’ve matured in many ways. The way I look and definitely in the way I feel. My skin has gradually changed colour. It was a pale, sickly light brown. Just look at me now! A bright blushing red! In just five MONTHS!

My ‘mother’ has lived here for ages. She has had hundreds of children. For one so delicate…

We are excited to announce that we are putting together a new series on World Vocal Traditions for 2012:

/page/world-traditions-vocal-workshops

The format this year will be an evening workshop that gets run in both Denver and Boulder, followed by a weekend intensive for those who wish to delve further, including area experts who may want to skip the introductory…

Inventing Earth founders Mary Lin and Ben Sargent have moved to the Denver area and are planning a full slate of programs in art, music, dance/movement, and theatre.  We're busy planning spring and summer vocal performance workshops and opportunities,  and gearing up for outdoor theatre performances with our growing family of…

If you haven't yet stumbled upon the video snippets from the Queen Victoria premiere in Ma. this past September, you can view them all here: http://www.youtube.com/user/QVSteampunk

Ben intends to try and get the video of the whole show up soon. However, the sound in the hall was pretty mushy and it would be in our best interest to subtitle - anyone handy with that technique who wants to give it a stab?

Inventing Earth founders Mary Lin and Ben Sargent recently visited Denver, Colo., and the front range over Thanksgiving in an exploratory trip to determine whether or not Colorado might be a good or great home base for Inventing Earth's many projects. (The answer is: quite possibly.)  Upon our return home we found we'd received a letter informing us that all our hard work over the past year has paid off, and we've been awarded 501 (c) 3 status!!!

Next steps: we're recruiting…

We showcased our work from this summer's Production Workshop in a live performance at The Great New England Steampunk Exhibition on September 18 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Here are Amelia's two arias from Act One Scene 1: "Sky Scientist" followed by "Dressing".

Mary and I have finished the music for Act I scenes 1, 3, and 4. These are the scenes we expect to perform in September for the preview. After the show I hope we can post music as performed by musicians and singers. For now, what we can post are the MP3 playback files…

This month we begin rehearsals for the September preview of "Queen Victoria's Floating Garden of Secrets and Natural Wonders." The singers are learning the music. Mary Lin's signature "Edwardian Alchemist" steampunk costumes are looking fantastic. Ben Galde's collapsible set is under construction. Exciting!

If you can make it to Fitchburg MA on September 18th, the show begins at 11am and will run for approximately 45 minutes. Here is where to buy your tickets: …
